“ They have very friendly and personal-feeling service because the waitress was very helpful in giving us suggestions in what to order and helped us pick things that she recommended. This was very nice because it was our first time and she helped us pick delicious traditional Burmese food. They have good vegan options and the food in general has a very good taste. Overall it has a very authentic feel with interesting and delicious flavors. If you like to try new things this is a very good option. ”
“ Got back from a trip to Thailand and one of the experiences we had was how to make cold pressed coconut oil. The class included lunch and was Burmese. Fell in love with the Tea Leaf Salad and when we returned I had to find it near me. Found this place on a Google search and am so glad I did. We went there, unassuming, small place but with great service. The owner is the host, server and boss lady. Probably only one or two cooks in the back and keep that in mind. The food was amazing, fresh, flavorful and with a generous portion, we had leftovers. I had went back a few days later to get another order of the Tea Leaf Salad and the Curry Beef. ”
“ The Green Elephant is a lovely little place known for its excellent Southeast Asia cuisine. The two people who run it are always busy and work very hard to make you feel welcome. The food is phenomenal and ranges from all over Southeast Asia. The Mie Goreng is a personal favorite of mine. Never forget to order a Thai Tea or Mango Lassi. ”
“ I've been coming to Green Elephant for over 10 years, and I have no idea why I haven’t left a review until now! This place is truly a gem. Every visit is a fantastic experience, and I always find myself coming back for my favorites. I ALWAYS order the Tom Kha Kai—it’s hands down the best I’ve had. In addition to that, I rotate between their Beef Curry, Pad Thai, Samosas, Chili Jam Chicken, and of course, a refreshing Mango Lassi to top it all off. Every dish is flavorful, fresh, and consistently delicious. If you’re looking for incredible food with great flavors, Green Elephant is the spot. Highly recommend! ”
“ The tastiest food by a fabulous owner!! This is by far the best restaurant in the entire Sacramento area. The flavors of each dish are outside of this world. I cannot recommend this place enough. The owner is so hardworking, confident, and a great conversationalist. 10/10 ”
“ Early holiday dinner date with family, thanks for the suggestion. Very personal and friendly service! It was our first time trying a Burmese restaurant, including Lotus root and Ginkgo seed! Delicious food for a dinner date! ”
“ The Green Elephant is an AWESOME restaurant! Everything we've ever ordered is fresh, flavorful and delicious. Absolutely order the Tea Leaf salad - it IS SO GREAT! Another must have is the Chicken Chee-Chat Garlic Noodles - ohmygod YUM! You can't go wrong. The only staff is the owners- Rachel up front and her husband cooking in the back, and they have a limited amount of tables. Once their full, their full and you'll have to go back another night. We love The Green Elephant - you won't be disappointed! ”
“ This is a food experience. Can't believe we haven't eaten here before. Make sure you have reservations though as they only take a certain number of people per evening. Make certain you get the coconut chicken soup with your order. The green tea salad is excellent as well. So many levels of flavor. We also had a vegetable coconut curry. ”
